Introductions

In the Spring, I was ready for a break from school.  By July, I was starting to think about school again.  By mid August, I was ready to get back to class.  Or was it really seeing how students are going to populate the "new and improved" student lounge?  Or was it getting to see friends again?  Or was it the anticipation of new classes and learning how to do ministry effectively? Or being challenged by faculty and students? Or was it really getting Starbucks once a week from Dustin?  It's all of these things and more! 



I'm Erin Jackman.  I'm heading into my 3rd year at Acadia Div.  I'm in the Mdiv program with a specialization in leadership and spiritual formation.  My journey of completing my masters didn't start off well, but I've made it to my 3rd year, so I must be doing something right.  I'm taking the 4 year plan instead of the 3 year plan.  Some of you might be full-time or part-time (or still thinking about coming to ADC).  For now, I will say this: Be sure you know your limits so you can do well!

If you are in Wolfville, you will see me around campus the first semester Tue - Thurs.  For you new students, if you have questions or concerns, want to hang out, or play a little table tennis, come find me! If you are not on campus, we probably won't see each other, but thanks to social media we can have an ADC community online.  I hope you all feel free to leave your comments and create conversation through this blog and our other social media sites.  It can be a place to connect with some of you NB and Metro students.  You will also see the Facebook, Twitter, Google+ (YES - We have a Google+ page!), and Instagram be more active this year.  If you don't follow us on these social media sites, get to it already!  Get updates and see what's happening at ADC.  

This brand new blog is to hear the student voice at ADC and to help foster community and conversation in the ADC student body. I'm the coordinator for this blog, and I also invite you to take part in this blog. We want to hear from you, so please contact me to do a post for the blog.
